The past two days have been lovely, spending time with friends (old and new) and my fellow survivors.
Today I performed in Downtown Nashville near Walk of Fame Park on Music Stop #1 of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and fundraiser for the Amercian Cancer Society.
It was a treat to watch all the pretty-in-pink walkers and entertaining them as they took photos and celebrated life and thriving after (and in some cases during) breast cancer recovery. It has been 7 years for me, and I’m grateful to be here, and making music.
Here are some highlight photos from the event Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Nashville October 21, 2023 above.
Yesterday, I attended a cool event at my high school alma mater University School of Nashville, the annual ART Bash, which was chock full of gorgeous art of all disciplines.
What a feast for the eyes and senses!
Way to go USN and thank you to all the artists who participated. I hope you sold a TON of art and made fans for life.
Finally, tonight I’ll be celebrating my early birthday performing with local collective Everyday Nashville featuring special guest Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd and of course the one and only Pino Squillace of Café Milano and Muzik Mafia prestige.
There are advance tickets available online and also at the door for tonight’s benefit at The Basement (8th Ave) supporting the work of Music Health Alliance, a cause near and dear to Pino, and so for me.
Hope to see you there! And if you’re not in Nashville tonight, you can hear one of the songs I’ll be playing here – my new single written with Brenda Register of Dothan, Alabama, called “Lit Up In Love.”
This is Brenda’s first single as a songwriter, and I’m very proud of her as her collaborator, publisher and friend.
How’s your weekend going?
Drop me a line here, or come out to the show!
Doors open at 8:30PM for the 9PM show, and I’m either 3rd or 4th in the rotation with the awesome band featuring: Michael Majett on bass, Pino Squillace on drums, Michael Klooster (of Smash Mouth) on keys and Steve Cirkvencic (of Jeffrey Steele Band) on guitar. Wowza!
Big Love and Light to you! Xo - Amanda
