Last weekend’s show was very special. Not only was it the first concert of 2017, but also so many special people were there.
Paulette Carlson one of my biggest vocal influences was there with her husband Randy. Paulette came up to me after the show, and later posted our picture on her Facebook page.
Having Paulette’s praise and support at my concert is such an honor, as I have looked up to her and her incredible talent for many years since she sang with her former band Highway 101. She’s one of my favorite female voices in country music.
After the concert, a few of my guests hopped up including Karen Waldrup whose video just surpassed 17 million views and Haden Carpenter Arkansoul artist and former tour mate of Warner Bros artist Big Smo.
At the recent Nashville Loves Iowa benefit hosted by (Muzik Mafia Spoken Word) Jen Boise, I had the honor of meeting a special creative person Toby Hammond. Toby is a big supporter of the arts and music lover, and lucky for me, he has taken a liking to my music.
Toby brought his lovely wife Tracy and 6 or 7 of his friends to see the show, and they were all kind, special people. I can’t wait to see them again and meet more of their crew at future concerts.
Of course, our friends from Jim Oliver’s Smokehouse Miguel and Mike were back this month, and delivered the goods: delicious beef brisket, pork and for dessert fresh fried pies, a Tennessee delicacy.
