A Day in the Life as a U.S. Arts Envoy in Romania

People often ask me what I do as a U.S. Arts Envoy, so I thought the occasion of the United States' 250 year birthday, and the U.S. Embassy Bucharest including me in their Freedom 250 campaign, is the perfect opportunity to talk about my trip to Romania.
An Arts Envoy is a citizen ambassador with a specific field of expertise that works closely with counterparts in other countries where the U.S. has an active Embassy.
My mission in Romania was to work with artists, students, stake holders, and arts entrepreneurs to bring awareness and attention to the value our shared creative works bring to the economy.
It sounds like a lot, but having done this work for decades as part of my Songlife™️ Team Builds and Songpreneurs businesses, it was easy to collaborate with the local Romanians to provide a targeted, robust program for their audiences.
On day one, we arrived in Bucharest and set about getting un-jet-lagged for the week long trip ahead.
