Merry Christmas!

My old friend asked if I had any Christmas songs, and I told her about this one and sent it to her as a secret.  She loved it and asked if she could share.

I prayed about it, and came up with a cover art and plan to make it available.

"Joseph Oh Joseph" was written back in 2013 with Randy Brooks, the same gentleman who wrote "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

It’s up now on my Songlife Music Page and Home Page.  You can listen all you want, download for free or any amount you want to give. Feel free to share the links.

Lyrics -

Joseph oh Joseph

Randy Brooks

Amanda Williams

Joseph oh Joseph, you're such a good man

To stand by your young bride, untouched by your hand

With only the word of an angel on high

Your love and your faith kept you strong by her side

And it won't be long now on this midnight clear

The child in my womb will be born soon, I fear

Joseph, the time's drawing near

Joseph oh Joseph, oh where can we rest

No room in the inn, just a stable at best

We've traveled so far now, and I can't go on

This child that I carry this night will be born

It's cold and it's dark, and I'd love to go home

At least we're together and I'm not alone

Our lives are no longer our own

The baby is born

The angels draw near me and sing

Joy to the world

For blessing this birthday will bring

Halleluja, halleluja, halleluja

Joseph, oh Joseph the angels decreed

His name should be Jesus, and so let it be

Oh how so quickly my fear turned to joy

At just one glimpse of our dear baby boy

How did these shepherds find out where we are?

Was it the same angel who led us this far

With only the light of a star

The saviour is born

The angels draw round us and sing

Joy to the world

For blessing this birthday will bring

Halleluja, halleluja, halleluja
